Four cleaning tips for tile flooring
Ceramic and porcelain tiles are easy to keep clean. The dirt sits right at the top, so it's in plain view to see–and get rid of.
That makes this surface especially ideal for those with allergies since pollutants, and other substances won't have a chance to linger and trigger problems. Easy as it is, though, there are still a few steps to keep in mind when cleaning tile flooring.
Sweep regularly
Do this a few times a week. You don't want to give sand and grit a chance to linger, dull, and scratch the floor.
Keeping a few things in mind when you mop
The kind of tool you use matters. Avoid abrasive ones that can scratch; sponges tend to push the dirt around, especially in the grout lines. A microfiber head is best.
Always use a gentle cleaner. You can also make your own by adding lemon juice or vinegar to hot water. Feel free to ask the experts at our tile store if you have questions.
Change the water frequently, so it doesn't leave a film on the floor. If that happens, remove it with an p/purpose cleaner.
Removing stains
1.Coffee, tea, or juice stains come from hot water and detergent. If needed, blot with hydrogen peroxide.
2.Grease comes off with club soda and water. Or use a commercial floor cleaner.
3.Ink stains come off by soaking a cloth with diluted bleach and then placing it on top of the spot. Leave it on until it's gone, then rinse thoroughly.

Cleaning grout
Anyone who's ever scrubbed grout knows it's grueling, so it's best to keep up with it regularly. Grout's also porous and highly absorbent, but there are many good grout cleaners on the market.
Leave the cleaner on for about 10 minutes if the stains are deep. Rinse thoroughly when done.
