Affordable style

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) is most often associated with hardwood looks, but people often use it for stone looks, with a very different price tag. Images are taken with 3D photography so you'll get a realistic look of wood (or stone) with knots, grains, swirls, and veinings showing.

The vinyl is then cut into strips and mounted on boards. Many people feel the seams give it a more realistic look. Those who prefer it to mimic stone prefer that cut over tile since they feel the larger format with fewer seams gives it a more continuous look.

If you choose luxury vinyl tile (LVT) comes in an almost unlimited number of colors, patterns, and designs. You can mix and match the pieces to create your unique design. They are also groutable, which some feel adds even more realism.

Both versions are embossed to add depth and dimension. You can choose texture features such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, or distressed. They come in matte, gloss, and high gloss finishes.

Other benefits include:

  • Easy care: Regular sweeping and a periodic mopping are all that’s needed.
  • Uncomplicated installation: Installers love it because it's so fast and easy. The pieces click together like a puzzle. It creates a mat which then is placed over most existing subfloors with no glue, adhesives, or nailing necessary.
